Holiday Hullabaloo, Day #11
As you know, I'm participating in the Holiday Hullabaloo Twelve Days
of Giveaways. Young Adult authors across the country have gotten
together to spread a little Christmas cheer!
Be sure to check on the Mr. linky below to see the other fabulous prizes being given away, and don't forget the $200.00 gift card from either Amazon or Barnes and Noble!
I'm almost done with the first revisions of The Heart of the Ancients, Kailmeyra's Redemption. It's hard to think that this time next year this series will have come to an end. To be honest, I try not to think about it too much. I'm consoled with the thought that I've promised to write a few novellas for the supporting characters, but that's not quite the same thing.
And so, I'm offering not only the ebooks of the first two books in the series, but I'm also giving away an ARC of Ancients when it's released in 2013.
If
Nora Johnson hadn't been on campus that day she would have never known
her true destiny. Helping her friends move into the dorm that she wanted
to call home, Nora accidentally collides with mysterious stranger,
Gavin Frey. His very first touch sends flames through her heart. The
world seems different-something within her has changed. Nora tries to
resume her mundane life, but she is now consumed with the one whose very
presence ignited her soul, the one with eyes of emerald. Nora soon
learns that an energy buried deep within has been unleashed. She now
wields unimaginable power and has become Gavin's source, his strength.
Her newfound joy is shaken when she discovers that Gavin is not who he appears to be and she has been thrust in the middle of a war of mythical proportions. Negativity has allowed all things evil to flourish, the earth is under siege. The fate of creation hinges on the power within her heart. Will she be strong enough to survive?
A gripping tale of unbounded love and ancient power, The Light of Asteria will take you on an epic adventure filled with war, treachery, and demons, as well as unimaginable delights.
Book Two
Life for Nora couldn't be better; she has married the man of her dreams and loves living in the pristine land of Kailmeyra.
That is, until the darkness threatens her perfect world.
Now war is upon the land. She and Gavin must strengthen their clan and prepare to fight. But the enemy has an ally—one that not only wields power, but holds knowledge of the ancients' secrets. Secrets that could destroy creation itself.
As the darkness grows, doubt seeps in ... protectiveness hinders progress ... and the unthinkable comes to pass.
Bewildered and alone, Nora shoulders the responsibility of leading an entire race to war. As she struggles with decisions that seem impossible to make, she is haunted by one choice.
"No one has ever doubted that you would die for those you love. The question then becomes ... would you live?"
Book Three
The Heart of the Ancients, Kailmeyra's Redemption is slated for release in 2013.

Holiday Hullabaloo, Day #10
As you know, I'm participating in the Holiday Hullabaloo Twelve Days
of Giveaways. Young Adult authors across the country have gotten
together to spread a little Christmas cheer!
Be sure to check on the Mr. linky below to see the other fabulous prizes being given away, and don't forget the $200.00 gift card from either Amazon or Barnes and Noble!
Day ten brings a few wonderful goodies to the blog, including delicious anticipation! Karen Hooper's Grasping at Eternity this week ranked 63rd in the Kindle store. She's not only graciously agreed to give away an ebook, but has also offered to give a pre-release for the next installment entitled Taking Back Forever. Seriously thinking of entering this one myself! :-)
Leave it to Maryah Woodsen to break the one rule that will screw up eternity: Never erase your memories.
Before entering this life, Maryah did the unthinkable—she erased. Now, at seventeen years old, she’s clueless that her new adoptive family has known her for centuries, that they are perpetually reincarnated souls, and that they have supernatural abilities. Oh, and she's supposed to love (not despise) Nathan, the green-eyed daredevil who saved her life.
Nathan is convinced his family’s plan to spark Maryah's memory is hopeless, but his love for her is undying. After spending (and remembering) so many lifetimes together, being around an empty version of his soulmate is heart shattering. He hates acting like a stalker, but has no choice because the evil outcast who murdered Maryah in their last lifetime is still after her.
While Maryah’s hunter inches closer, she and Nathan make assumptions and hide secrets that rip them further apart. Maryah has to believe in the magic within her, Nathan must have faith in the power of their love, and both need to grasp onto the truth before they lose each other forever—and discover just how lonely eternity can be.
Don't forget, along with this awesome book you also get the early release of the next. Now THAT's an incredible find!

Day eight brings a bit of time travel fun as Elle Strauss shares her Clockwise series with us.What a great giveaway!
Casey Donovan has issues: hair, height and uncontrollable trips to the 19th century! And now this—she’s accidentally taken Nate Mackenzie, the cutest boy in the school, back in time. Awkward.
Protocol pressures her to tell their 1860 hosts that he is her brother and when Casey finds she has a handsome, wealthy (and unwanted) suitor, something changes in Nate. Are those romantic sparks or is it just “brotherly” protectiveness?
When they return to the present, things go back to the way they were before: Casey parked on the bottom of the rung of the social ladder and Nate perched high on the very the top. Except this time her heart is broken. Plus, her best friend is mad, her parents are split up, and her younger brother gets escorted home by the police. The only thing that could make life worse is if, by some strange twist of fate, she took Nate back to the past again.
Which of course, she does
The last year has been smooth sailing for Casey Donovan. She and her boyfriend Nate are doing better than ever, and things at home are good, too. Everything’s been so calm, she hasn’t even “tripped” back to the nineteenth century.
Then the unthinkable happens and she accidentally takes her rebellious brother Tim back in time. It’s 1862 with the Civil War brewing, and for Tim this spells adventure and excitement. Finding himself stuck in the past, he enlists in the Union army, but it doesn’t take long before he discovers real life war is no fun and games.
Casey and Nate race against the clock to find Tim, but the strain wears on their relationship. It doesn’t help that the intriguing new boy next door has his sights on Casey, and isn’t shy to let her know it.
Can Nate and Casey find Tim in time to save him? And is it too late to save their love?Alexis Ames has a life full of promise…but not all promises can be kept.

Day seven brings a great read from one of my favorite people in the whole round world. Kriste Cook is not only well into six figures sold, but she also is an advocate for children, heads up relief efforts, and is a champion for battered woman. She is absolutely one of my favorite people, and I'm so excited to be able to offer a signed copy of her first book in the Soul Saver Series, Promise.
Here's the synopsis:
Alexis Ames has a life full of promise…but not all promises can be kept. When Alexis Ames is attacked by creatures that can’t be real, she decides it’s time she learns who she really is, with or without the help of her mother, who guards their family’s secrets closely. After meeting the inhumanly attractive, multi-talented Tristan Knight, however, Alexis retreats behind her façade of normalcy…until she discovers he’s not exactly normal either. Then their secrets begin to unravel.
Their union brings hope and promise to her family’s secret society, the Angels’ army, and to the future of mankind. But it also incites a dangerous pursuit by the enemy – Satan’s minions and Tristan’s creators. After all, Alexis and Tristan are a match made in Heaven and in Hell.

Day five brings a special treat by the incredible Heather McCorkle. Take a look at these!
Books' summaries:
The story of the night Aiden was born has never been told, until now. Fleeing the Hunters, Kevan and Shannon O'Reilly find their way to Spruce Knoll Colorado, assuming they'll be safe in America. Their unborn son is special, even for a druid, or a channeler as the American's like to call their kind. But why the Hunters, people who are sworn to keep their kind safe, are after them is a mystery. All they know is that if they don't outrun them they'll be killed.
Trouble has followed them to Spruce Knoll and just when it seems it may be too late, they discover the true reason why.
The Secret of Spruce Knoll
Channelers are tied to the fate of the world. As the world slowly dies, so do they—and they alone have the power to stop the destruction of Earth. Soon, Eren learns she not only lives among them, but she is one. When she meets local boy Aiden, his charm convinces her that being a channeler may not be all bad though.
As Eren and Aiden’s relationship develops, so too does a mystery in Spruce Knoll. The town holds many secrets—and many dangers. It soon becomes apparent that the untimely death of Eren’s parents was no accident and that her life might be in danger too. Only time will tell if Eren can embrace her unwanted power and protect the only family she has left.
