All righty,
My love affair with summer romances began in my teens with a book called The Proud Breed. It also was the start of my how-many-times-can-you-possibly-read-a-book problem.
This summer's reads actually began a while ago when flew to Chicago (and boy were my arms tired...bada boom chick!) Anyway, I picked up Love in the Afternoon simply because I needed a layover read. I didn't know it actually was the last in this wonderful little series by the very talented Lisa Kleypas.
The story takes place mid 1800's in England, and the characters are comprised of intelligent, well-spoken women and men who buck the system. Kleypas has a great sense of character, each one well-rounded and unique.
If you're looking for a summer read, I strongly recommend this series. Each one could be a stand alone book, but they are so much better if you read them in order.
If you've read them, I'd love to know what you think!
Here they are in order :-)
